"The moment someone dies, they find themselves standing in a cinema. With caramel popcorn and cola in hand, they walk around searching for a seat. Once seated, the lights dim, and a bunch of movie trailers play. You have to wait for ages for the actual movie to start. It feels like an eternity." - Togata (Firepunch)

For as long as I remember, the cinema hall had been my favourite place to be. To exist. Entering the hall feels like a switch I can flip to immerse myself into another world, another story, another character. I don't know how to put into words my love for cinema - so I might just make a movie about it, along with many more.

I studied Film Production in Vancouver in 2021. After returning to Hyderabad, India in 2022, I worked as an Assistant Director on the Telugu feature film First Day First Show. In early 2023, I served as an Assistant Cinematographer on the Telugu feature Rangabali, followed by work on the Telugu short film Osey Balamma, which is set to have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2026.

In 2024, I began directing short films with small, agile crews, which led to the co-founding of Muchacho Studios with close collaborators. Over the next year, we produced multiple short films and commercial video projects for a range of clients. Toward the end of 2025, I stepped away from Muchacho Studios to continue developing my craft by collaborating with new filmmakers and expanding my creative practice.
